The Master Responds

This month's tip is basically for the beginners, who have just joined the gym or wanting to join one. Most of the time, people join a gym and they give up in a couple of weeks due to the painful process. So here is the tip for the first few weeks, never exert your body too much with the training. Keep your workout more of fun and less painful.

It should always be a learning process. Start with the light intensity training - as your central nervous system is on the adaption phase for the range of motion of certain exercises. Avoid heavy weights and prefer machines over free weights. For instance, prefer chest press machine over the bench press or leg press over the squats. Apart from weight training, mix some form of light intensity cardio like walking on a treadmill or cycling.

Remember, the first month is to learn the form and technique of the exercises, so do not expect much and enjoy the workout sessions!
