Cashew nut is the seed of the fruit called 'cashew apple'. Cashew trees were originally found in Brazil and are now grown in all parts of the world due to trading. Initially the fruit was given more importance than nuts. The nut now is more popular especially in Asia and Africa. It tastes sweet, buttery and has a creamy layer on it. Cashew nuts are low in fiber but are rich in various other nutrients like proteins, minerals and vitamins. It can be eaten raw or roasted and seasoned with salt. Here is why you should consume cashew nuts.

People consuming cashew nuts in moderate quantity and on a regular basis can reduce the unwanted body weight. Cashews contain Omega – 3 fatty acids which are known for boosting the metabolisms in the body. It also keeps you full for a longer period of time that kills the urge of untimely cravings.
