One needs to spend at leas 15 to 20 minutes of good time to actually warm the entire body before the actual lifting or main lifting starts.

Basically, we need everything turned on and ready for action without feeling tired before the main set. A good warm up sends a signal to CNS to get ready for the main set, which can be for 20 or 25 minutes, based on your lifting pattern.
